Common questions
Do you have a cold storage warehouse in Chicago today?
Not yet. Our Chicago facility, ORD-001, is planned for Q1 2027 with refrigerated and freezer storage. We are taking inquiries now so we can plan space around confirmed volume.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. Storage accounts start at 100 pallets. If you are below that today but growing, tell us your forecast in the quote form.
How is storage billed?
Storage is billed per pallet on a weekly cycle. Handling and value-added services such as pick/pack or labelling are quoted separately, so you only pay for what you use. We do not publish rates because every account is quoted on its volume and handling.
Can you handle allergen or organic products?
Yes. We keep segregated allergen areas and are certified for organic handling. Tell us about allergens and certifications in your quote request so we can plan where your product is stored.
What does working with Blue Dot look like today?
Our operating facilities are in Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario. U.S. customers can see how we run a cold storage operation there: 24/7 temperature monitoring, lot and expiry tracking, and an online inventory portal. The same standards apply to every market we enter.
